The voluntary membership of the Washington DC Metropolitan Ophthalmological Society (WDCMOS) represents approximately 110 ophthalmologists practicing in the Washington DC area.
The primary purposes of the WDCMOS are:
To promote excellence in eye care by providing continuing medical education programs for its membership and by maintaining a calendar of events at local academic institutions
To provide educational resources about eye health for the public
To serve as a liaison with the American Academy of Ophthalmology
